A great piece about Jewish life in Morocco as a symbol to move forward with for the Middle East. I can attest to Morocco's tolerance and acceptance. When I studied there in 2002, I found people to be warm and accepting of my Jewishness. People spoke affectionately of the history of Moroccan Jewry. I was there during Passover, and my host family was so curios about the holiday, and loved the matzah. And Moroccans would always chuckle when I would ask for directions to the synagogue: "Où est la mosquée pour les Juifs?"
