Case-in-point of why the Israeli-Palestinian Peace Talks are going nowhere

Martin Indyk has been named lead negotiator to handle the Israeli-Palestinian talks.  Don't get me wrong, Indyk is a bright fellow with a ton of experience in the Israeli-Palestinian negotiating track.  But he is a failed negotiator on the Israeli-Palestinian front from the same failed clique of Dennis Ross, Aaron Miller and Daniel Kurtzer, who all spent the better part of the Oslo years abysmally trying to get the Israelis and Palestinians towards peace.

All these peace processors are brainy fellows who know the region better than most, but they are all failed negotiators at bringing the Israelis and Palestinians towards peace. I doubt any of them get a good deal at the souk, and I don't expect any of them to move the diplomatic ball forward.

Time for new negotiating leadership- not that I am throwing my beret in the ring...
